Ceramic Mid-Evil Gargoyle

It is said that the mythical gargoyle is known as a protector of the kingdom.

This winged gargoyle is stunning sitting atop his stone pedestal.
The details on this monkey type gargoyle are amazing. I painted him in brown and tan with gold accents.

I made this one by slip casting him in my studio, then he was fired up in the kiln and finally finished up by painting him with acrylic paints. A sealer was then applied to protect his colors and also weather proof him.

I just love how he came to life!

He measures about 7 inches tall and 6 inches wide from wing to wing.
