About Teresa

Teresa's Ceramics began in 1992. As a mother to three sons and married to my amazing husband Jeff, I began ceramics for "me" time. The projects started as personal art and one day it changed. Ceramics became an obsession, thankfully I had a very intelligent ceramic teacher. She offered enough constructive criticism for me to build as a ceramic artist in my own unique way. I learned to use a kiln, clean ceramics, pour ceramics and paint ceramics all thanks to meeting this talented teacher.
Teresa's Ceramics was founded in Michigan. Coincidentally the largest Midwest Ceramic Show is held in Dayton Ohio, a few hours from my home town. Every year I went, meeting new artists and collecting new-used ceramic molds along the way. From creating garden art to Christmas Trees, my love for these heirloom pieces grew each day. As my collection gathered, I decided to promote my art on Etsy and Artfire. Both websites helped me build an online business and now today in 2022 I have finally considered ceramics a full-time career! Your purchase is not just home decor but a little bit of my soul and a lot of my gratitude. Thank you for continuing to support handmade!
