Mythical Gargoyle Statue | Ceramic | Handmade

It is said that the mythical gargoyle is known as a protector of the kingdom. 

This winged gargoyle is stunning sitting atop his stone pedestal.
The details on this bulldog-type gargoyle include grooved wings, chain, detailed face and paws lining a base. I painted him in brown and gold. He even has a golden chain around his neck.

I made this one by slip casting him in my studio, then he was fired up in the kiln and finally finished up by painting him with acrylic paints. A sealer was then applied to protect his colors and also weather proof him.

I just love how he came to life!

He measures about 7 1/2 inches tall and 8 inches wide from wing to wing , depth is about 4" inches .
