Sloths are magnificent creatures, did you know they live for 50+ years?

They symbolize health, patience and harmony.

This hand poured ceramic sloth would make a generous gift that will be adored for many years.

Each sloth is made in my ceramic studio using the slip casting method. First premium ceramic slip is poured into a ceramic mold. The sloth is then formed as greenware where it is dried and cleaned to be fired in the kiln. Once fired each piece must cool to be cleaned again. Every piece is painted by hand with acrylic paint. After the sloth receives it's humbling earth tones, they are preserved with a clear varnish to seal and protect it from the outdoors.
