Each snow couple is handmade in my home studio using premium ceramic slip clay. Once the clay is poured into a ceramic mold it is dried enough to carve out the stars. The star cutouts allow for the inner light to shine through. The piece is then cleaned and fired in the kiln. The snow couple then must cool to be cleaned once more before applying acrylic paint. After the piece is painted, it is sealed with clear varnish.
